Bathinda, Bathinda, Punjab
AIIMS Bathinda, established in 2018, brought Punjab its own All India Institute of Medical Sciences, part of the centrally sponsored expansion of the AIIMS network beyond Delhi. For a medical aspirant the fundamentals are what count: admission is strictly through NEET, tuition is nominal because the institute is centrally funded, and the degree carries the strongest brand in Indian medical education. The campus and attached hospital serve a large rural and semi-urban catchment in south-western Punjab, which translates into substantial hands-on clinical exposure during MBBS and nursing training. Being a young institute, some departments, hostels and research facilities are still maturing. It suits students with strong NEET ranks who prioritise the AIIMS credential and minimal cost over the settled infrastructure of older government medical colleges.
