Students make life-changing decisions based on the numbers on this site. We take that seriously. Every placement percentage, package figure and cutoff rank should be traceable to a source — and where it isn't, we label it clearly so you know.
We've cross-checked this number against an official source (NIRF report, college brochure, or government publication). The source and year are shown alongside it.
We know where this number came from (and we show the source + year), but we haven't independently cross-checked it yet. Treat it as reliable but not triple-checked.
The college has published this number themselves — on their website or in their own brochure — but we have no independent confirmation. Colleges have incentives to inflate these, so read with a grain of salt.
We got this number from third-party aggregators, not a primary source. It's directionally useful for comparison but should not be quoted verbatim. We're actively upgrading these to Sourced or Verified over time.
We don't yet have any documented source for this number at all. Treat it as a placeholder — we're working to either source it or remove it.
The National Institutional Ranking Framework published annually by the Ministry of Education. Authoritative for ranking, faculty-student ratio, placement percentage and median package for the reported year.
Year-specific placement reports, course catalogues, fee structures and hostel costs published by the colleges themselves.
Approval status, ownership type, intake capacity and recognised-institute lists come from the relevant regulator.
Year-wise closing and opening ranks used in our cutoff and predictor tools come from the official counselling authorities.

Where primary sources don't cover everything (e.g. notable alumni, campus descriptions), we use AI-generated summaries — but only for qualitative fields. AI is never used to fabricate numbers. A missing number stays missing.
If you're a current student, alum, or staff member and you spot a number that doesn't match reality, please tell us. Include the college name, the specific field, and — if you can — a link to an official source.
