Basni Phase-II, Jodhpur, Rajasthan
AIIMS Jodhpur was established in 2012 among the first wave of new All India Institutes of Medical Sciences created to spread the AIIMS model beyond Delhi. Admission to MBBS is through NEET at cutoffs among the steepest in the country, and nursing and dental programmes run alongside; fees, as at all AIIMS, are nominal. It holds an NIRF rank of 25 in the medical category. The campus sits in Jodhpur's institutional area, and the attached hospital has grown into a major referral centre for western Rajasthan, giving students exposure to a large and varied desert-region patient base. As a newer AIIMS, its research culture and faculty depth are still building relative to the original institution. It suits NEET top-rankers who want the AIIMS name, negligible fees and a government career pathway.
