Bihar Agricultural University at Sabour, near Bhagalpur, was established in 2010 when the state reorganised its farm-education institutions, though the agricultural college at its core is far older. It is aligned with ICAR and focused squarely on agriculture and forestry degrees with postgraduate research on top, serving a state whose economy is dominated by farming.
