GLA University

GLA University in Mathura grew out of the Ganeshi Lal Agrawal group of institutions and became a private university in 2010; it has since become one of the larger private engineering destinations in the Braj region of western Uttar Pradesh. Approved by UGC and AICTE and holding a NAAC 'A' grade, it is known primarily for its engineering school, with computer science drawing the bulk of applicants, and it markets itself on placement preparation and industry tie-ups. The campus sits on the highway outside Mathura, self-contained and largely residential, within reach of the Delhi-Agra corridor. Fees are mid-range for a private university. It suits students from UP and nearby states who miss government-college seats but want a structured, placement-oriented private campus closer to home than the big national brands.
