Goa Medical College

Goa Medical College at Bambolim traces its lineage to 1842 and the Portuguese-era Escola Medico-Cirurgica de Goa, making it one of the oldest institutions teaching medicine in Asia. Today it is the state's government medical college and its attached hospital complex is Goa's principal tertiary care centre, so MBBS students train where the state's most serious cases arrive. Recognised by the NMC and graded 'A' by NAAC, it admits through NEET under Goa's counselling, with government fees that make it incomparably cheaper than private medicine. Nursing is also taught.
