Government Engineering College Wayanad

Government Engineering College Wayanad is the state-run engineering college of Kerala's hill district, set in plantation country on the Western Ghats plateau — one of the more unusual settings for an engineering education in the state. It offers the core branches, with computer science the strongest draw, under AICTE approval and a NAAC 'A' grade, admitting through KEAM counselling at government fees. The remoteness cuts both ways: living costs are minimal, the campus community is close-knit and largely residential, and the district's calm suits focused study; but industry, internships and placement drives are distant, generally reached through Kozhikode, Kochi or Bengaluru.
