G.V.M.'s Gopal Govind Poy Raiturcar College of Commerce & Economics

G.V.M.'s Gopal Govind Poy Raiturcar College of Commerce & Economics in Ponda is run by the Goa Vidyaprasarak Mandal, one of Goa's older educational societies, and has been the commerce college for the Ponda region since 1986. Affiliated to Goa University and holding a NAAC 'A' grade, it concentrates on commerce and computer applications rather than spreading across disciplines, which keeps its identity clear: students come here for B.Com and BCA taught at modest fees in their own taluka. Ponda's position in central Goa makes the college accessible from a wide belt of towns and villages, and its graduates feed into Goa's banking, accounting and small-business economy. It suits Goan students who want a focused, local commerce education without relocating to Panaji or Margao.
