Dehradun, Dehradun, Uttarakhand
ICFAI University Dehradun, established in 2003, is part of the ICFAI group of universities that grew out of the Hyderabad-based Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India. The Dehradun campus runs law, management and engineering programmes, with the integrated law and MBA streams the most visible, and holds approvals from UGC, BCI and AICTE. Dehradun is a compact, affordable education hub in the Uttarakhand foothills that hosts several private universities, so the city is used to students and living costs stay manageable. As a private university, admission is largely through its own process and fees are mid-range for the sector. It holds an A NAAC grade and a NIRF rank of 29 in its category. It suits students looking for a straightforward private option in north India, particularly for law with management exposure, rather than those chasing national entrance-exam institutions.
