IIIT Kalyani

IIIT Kalyani, established in 2014, is West Bengal's institute in the public-private partnership IIIT system, funded jointly by the central government, the state and industry partners, and recognised as an Institution of National Importance. It holds an A grade from NAAC, still unusual among the newer IIITs. Its location is a quiet advantage: Kalyani is a planned township within commuting distance of Kolkata that has grown into an institutional cluster, with major medical and research campuses nearby. Teaching concentrates on Computer Science and Electronics & Communication, with admission through JEE Main and centralised counselling.
