IIIT Lucknow

IIIT Lucknow, established in 2015 under the public-private partnership model, is a small, sharply focused institute that teaches essentially nothing but computing — computer science and information technology, with admissions through JEE Main counselling. In its early years it was mentored by the older IIIT at Allahabad, and its cutoffs have climbed quickly as software-minded applicants discovered that a focused cohort can matter more than an old campus. It holds a NIRF rank of 82. The campus in Lucknow is compact and still building out facilities and traditions, which is the honest trade-off of any young institute. Lucknow is an affordable state capital with improving connectivity.
