IIIT Raichur

IIIT Raichur is one of the youngest Indian Institutes of Information Technology, established in 2019 under the public-private partnership model, and its defining feature so far has been its mentor: IIT Hyderabad, from whose campus it ran its early academic operations, giving students access to IIT-grade teaching practices in the institute's formative years. The academic programme is focused on Computer Science and Engineering, with B.Tech admission through JEE Main and centralised counselling, and the institute carries recognition as an Institution of National Importance. Raichur is a hot, unglamorous district town in northern Karnataka, and the institute's own infrastructure is at an early stage — applicants should check current campus arrangements.
