Okhla Industrial Estate Phase III, New Delhi, Delhi
Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi was created by an act of the Delhi government in 2008 as a research-focused state university, and it has built a strong reputation in computer science, artificial intelligence and allied computing fields in a short time. Its 25-acre campus in Okhla is compact but modern, with faculty largely holding doctorates from strong international programmes and an academic culture built around research projects from the undergraduate years. Admission is through JEE Main via Delhi's joint counselling, with Delhi-domicile candidates holding a majority of seats. It holds a NIRF rank of 34 in engineering and an A+ NAAC grade. It suits students set on computing and AI who value research culture, small cohorts and a Delhi location over a big traditional campus or a wide menu of engineering branches.
