IIM Nagpur

IIM Nagpur is among the newer members of the Indian Institutes of Management, set up under the mentorship of IIM Ahmedabad and now operating from a permanent campus in the MIHAN area on Nagpur's outskirts. It holds a NIRF rank of 43 in the management rankings, and admission to the MBA is through CAT and the common IIM admission process. The institute has pushed a distinct emphasis on entrepreneurship and industry immersion alongside the standard IIM curriculum. Nagpur is a central, well-connected and inexpensive city, though not itself a major corporate hub, so placements draw on national rather than local recruiters. As with all young IIMs, the alumni network is thin but growing. It suits CAT candidates who want an IIM education and modern campus infrastructure, accepting a still-developing brand relative to the older institutes.
