GEC Campus, Sejbahar, Raipur, Chhattisgarh
Indian Institute of Technology Bhilai, established in 2016, brings the IIT system to Chhattisgarh, with admission through JEE Advanced and the core B.Tech branches on offer. It has moved from temporary premises onto its permanent campus in the Raipur–Bhilai region, and it presents the trade-off common to the newest IITs plainly: the brand, central funding and faculty recruitment standards are IIT-grade, while the alumni network, research depth and recruiter roster are still accumulating. The Bhilai–Raipur belt is steel country — industrial, inexpensive, with improving air links to the metros. It holds a NIRF rank of 56 in engineering. It suits JEE Advanced qualifiers who prefer a new IIT's small cohorts and growth trajectory to an established NIT's settled ecosystem, and who are comfortable in a low-profile region.
