Settipalli, Tirupati, Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh
IIT Tirupati, established in 2015, is one of the newer Indian Institutes of Technology, with a permanent campus rising at Yerpedu outside Tirupati in southern Andhra Pradesh. As with all IITs it is centrally funded, admits undergraduates through JEE Advanced, and offers small batch sizes that give students close contact with faculty — many of them early-career researchers building new labs. It holds a NIRF rank of 40 and an A grade from NAAC. Computer science and electrical engineering attract the strongest ranks, with mechanical and electronics alongside. Tirupati is a well-connected pilgrimage city with modest living costs, though the campus is some distance from town. It suits students who value the IIT system's rigour and brand and are comfortable trading the mature ecosystems of older IITs for a newer institution's flexibility.
