Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad, established in 1972, is Telangana's state technological university, with a dual identity applicants should understand: its own engineering college at the Kukatpally campus in Hyderabad, and its role as the affiliating university for a large number of engineering colleges across the state. The university's own campus admits through the state's engineering entrance counselling at public-university fees, and its Hyderabad location puts students inside one of India's biggest technology job markets.
