MIT World Peace University, formed in 2017, is the university evolution of Pune's long-running MAEER's MIT group of institutions, and its Kothrud campus — crowned by the vast World Peace Dome — reflects the group's distinctive blend of professional education with an ethos of value-based learning and peace studies. Engineering and management are the mainstay programmes, alongside law, pharmacy and design, and the university holds an A+ grade from NAAC. Pune's technology and services economy supports internships and placement drives, and the city is one of India's biggest student centres. Fees are at private-university levels. It suits students who want an established Pune private campus with broad programme choice and city access, and who are comfortable with the university's overt cultural and philosophical framing.
