Bicholim, Bicholim, Goa
Narayan Zantye College of Commerce in Bicholim, established in 1994, is the commerce college of interior north Goa, teaching undergraduate commerce and management programmes that lead to Goa University degrees. It holds an A grade from NAAC — a solid accreditation for a small-town college — and serves a catchment of students from Bicholim taluka and the surrounding mining-belt villages who would otherwise have to commute to Mapusa or Panaji for a degree. The college's focus is deliberately narrow: commerce and business studies, taught at modest fees, with the local employment market of banks, cooperatives and small enterprises in view. Bicholim is a quiet taluka town, and college life is day-scholar routine. It suits students from north Goa's interior who want an affordable, recognised commerce education close to home; anyone seeking wider programme choice or campus scale should look towards the bigger Goan colleges.
