Tadepalligudem, Tadepalligudem, Andhra Pradesh
National Institute of Technology Andhra Pradesh, established in 2015 at Tadepalligudem in the West Godavari district, is the newest institute in the NIT system, created after the state's bifurcation left Andhra Pradesh without an NIT of its own. It teaches the core branches — computer science, electronics, electrical and mechanical — with admission through JEE Main and centralised counselling at regulated fees, and it holds an A grade from NAAC and a NIRF rank of 88. As a young institute its campus, traditions and alumni network are still being built, and Tadepalligudem is a small agricultural-belt town, so student life is residential and self-made. The NIT credential, however, is identical in recognition to that of its older siblings. It suits students who want an NIT seat and accept youth and location as the price of entry.
