Sector A-7, Narela, New Delhi, Delhi
National Institute of Technology Delhi is one of the newer members of the NIT system, established in 2010, and operates from a compact campus at Narela on the capital's northern edge. Its programme list is deliberately narrow — computer science, electronics and electrical engineering — and its intake is small, which produces close faculty contact but a quieter campus culture than the older NITs. Admission is through JEE Main and centralised counselling, with the fee structure regulated as at every centrally funded institute. It holds a NIRF rank of 68 and an A grade from NAAC. The Delhi location matters: internships, industry visits and the capital's job market are within reach. It suits students who value an NIT degree plus Delhi's opportunities over the fuller campus life of the established NITs.
