Jaipur, Jaipur, Rajasthan
Rajasthan University of Health Sciences in Jaipur, established in 2005, is the umbrella university for medical education across the state: nearly every medical, dental, nursing and pharmacy college in Rajasthan awards its degrees through RUHS, and it carries the full set of professional-council recognitions — the National Medical Commission, the dental, pharmacy and nursing councils — alongside UGC recognition and an A grade from NAAC. For most students it is the examining and degree-awarding authority behind their own college, but it also runs its own teaching institutions in Jaipur, including a medical college, with admission through NEET and state counselling. Jaipur offers the state's best hospital exposure and connectivity. Prospective applicants should read its name on a college's paperwork as the standard, legitimate state affiliation for health courses in Rajasthan, and evaluate the individual college on its own merits.
