Bhopal, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh
RGPV — the common short form of Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya — is the technical university of Madhya Pradesh, established in 1998 with its campus on Bhopal's airport road. Its principal role is affiliation: the bulk of the state's engineering, pharmacy and management colleges award their degrees through it, so for most students RGPV is the name on the certificate rather than the place they study. The university also teaches directly through its own institute on campus, where the core branches — computer science, electronics, mechanical and electrical — are offered at fees far below comparable private colleges, making these seats the quiet bargain of MP engineering admissions. It holds UGC and AICTE recognition and an A grade from NAAC. Bhopal is a calm, inexpensive capital city. Judge any affiliated college on its own record, not the parent's.
