Agra, Agra, Uttar Pradesh
Sarojini Naidu Medical College in Agra is one of the oldest homes of modern medical education in north India, tracing its lineage to 1854, when medical training began here decades before most of the country's colleges existed. Today it is an Uttar Pradesh government college teaching MBBS, postgraduate medicine and nursing, with NEET-based admission, public-sector fees and an A grade from NAAC. Its attached hospitals form the principal government referral network for the Agra region, drawing an enormous and varied caseload from the city and its rural hinterland — the central clinical asset of the old government colleges. The campus is historic and worn, and Agra is a congested tier-two city, so comfort is not the draw; depth of patient exposure and affordability are. It suits students who want time-tested government medical training in western UP.
