Lavale, Mulshi, Pune, Maharashtra
Symbiosis International University grew out of the Symbiosis Society, founded in Pune in 1971 originally to support international students studying in the city — a heritage still visible in its cosmopolitan intake. Now a private deemed university headquartered on a 300-acre hilltop campus at Lavale, it is best known for its law and management schools, which admit through the university's own SLAT and SNAP tests, though its constituent institutes span design, computing and health sciences. It carries an A++ grade from NAAC, the highest band, and holds an NIRF rank of 24. Pune is a student city with a large graduate job market and moderate living costs by metro standards. Symbiosis suits students who miss the top public institutions in law or management and can afford private fees for strong infrastructure and a national peer group.
