JLN Marg, Jaipur, Rajasthan
Sawai Man Singh Medical College, established in 1947, is Rajasthan's flagship government medical college, attached to the SMS Hospital in central Jaipur — the state's largest referral hospital. Beyond MBBS, the institution's teaching spread runs through postgraduate medicine, dentistry, nursing and pharmacy, so the campus functions as a full health-sciences complex with immense patient flow feeding clinical training at every level. It holds an NIRF rank of 24 in the medical category and an A grade from NAAC. The central Jaipur location keeps students inside a large, affordable and well-connected city. Government fees are a fraction of private medical education, which keeps NEET cutoffs correspondingly steep. It suits students who want high-volume clinical exposure in a state-flagship setting and are aiming at government service or postgraduate pathways in Rajasthan.
