Jodhpur, Jodhpur, Rajasthan
Dr Sampurnanand Medical College is the government medical college for Jodhpur and the wider Marwar region, established in 1965, with a group of large attached government hospitals that serve as the referral network for much of western Rajasthan. The desert districts send a heavy and distinctive caseload — from trauma along the highways to region-specific public-health conditions — which gives students broad clinical grounding within the state system. The college holds a NIRF rank of 50 and an A grade from NAAC. MBBS is the core programme, with established postgraduate training in general medicine and general surgery and a nursing course. Jodhpur is an affordable, well-connected heritage city. Admission is through NEET via Rajasthan counselling at government fees. It suits students who want high-volume public-sector training in Rajasthan at minimal cost.
