Sri Sivasubramaniya Nadar College of Engineering

Sri Sivasubramaniya Nadar College of Engineering, known as SSN, was founded by the industrialist Shiv Nadar of HCL and has grown into one of Tamil Nadu's strongest self-financing engineering colleges. The campus at Kalavakkam sits on the Old Mahabalipuram Road corridor south of Chennai, within reach of the city's IT belt. SSN is autonomous and affiliated to Anna University, with admissions through the state's TNEA counselling, where its computer science and information technology cutoffs rank among the highest of any private college in the state — a pattern visible in each year's counselling data. It holds an A++ grade from NAAC and a NIRF rank of 69. It suits high-scoring Tamil Nadu students who miss government-college seats but want comparable academic rigour and recruiter attention in a private setting.
