Uttaranchal University

Uttaranchal University, established in 2013, is a private university in Dehradun best known through its law school, Law College Dehradun, alongside engineering and management faculties. Its approvals span the UGC, AICTE, the Bar Council of India and the Pharmacy Council of India, reflecting a deliberately multi-disciplinary spread, and it carries an A+ grade from NAAC with an NIRF rank of 25 in its category. Dehradun is an established education city in the Himalayan foothills with a moderate climate, a large student population and living costs below the metros. As a young private university its degrees carry regional rather than national weight, and outcomes depend heavily on the programme chosen. It suits students from northern India seeking an accessible private option in law, engineering or management in a pleasant, affordable city.
