NEET UG 2024 had a cutoff of ~720 for government MBBS seats in top states — incredibly competitive. But over 60% of MBBS seats in India are in private/deemed colleges where cutoffs are much lower. If your NEET score is 400-500, here are realistic paths to MBBS.

Management Quota (not state counseling)

- Why: Best deemed MBBS in India, excellent internship
**D.Y. Patil Medical College, Pune** - Fee: ₹22 L/yr
- NEET cutoff: ~450 (management)
**Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences, Karad** - Fee: ₹18 L/yr
- NEET cutoff: ~400

State Private Counseling (cheaper than management)
Depending on state counseling rules, these accept 400-500 scores:
Tamil Nadu:— several private colleges under state quota (₹4-5 L/yr)
Karnataka:— 30-40% state quota in private colleges (₹6-12 L/yr)
Maharashtra:— CET cell counseling (₹7-10 L/yr)
