Dayanand Anglo-Vedic College is part of the DAV network, one of India's oldest educational movements, and has operated in Chandigarh since 1958 under affiliation to Panjab University. Its commerce wing is the busiest part of the college — B.Com and BCA admissions draw heavy demand each year — and Panjab University's degree and examination system gives the qualification wide currency across north India. The college holds an A+ grade from NAAC and a NIRF rank of 67, strong standing for an affiliated city college. Chandigarh itself is a planned, student-dense city with far less living friction than the metros. The college suits students from Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh who want an affordable, reputable commerce or computer-applications degree with a recognised university's name behind it, close to home.
