Don Bosco College, Itanagar

Don Bosco College, Itanagar, established in 2002, is one of the better-regarded private colleges in Arunachal Pradesh, run by the Salesians of Don Bosco, whose institutions have a long record of education work across Northeast India. Affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University and holding a NAAC 'A' grade, it offers undergraduate study across arts, science and commerce, with its English and commerce teaching among the reasons local students choose it. In a state where higher-education options remain limited, the college provides a structured, disciplined alternative to the government colleges, with the community-centred ethos typical of Don Bosco institutions. It suits students from Arunachal Pradesh and neighbouring states who want a dependable general degree near the state capital, in a small-college setting where teachers know their students by name.
