Graphic Era (Deemed to be University)

Graphic Era (Deemed to be University) in Dehradun grew out of an engineering institute founded in the early nineties and received deemed status in 2008; it has since become Uttarakhand's most visible private university, with computer science and computer-applications programmes drawing the bulk of demand. It holds an A+ grade from NAAC and a NIRF rank of 89, unusual reach for a private university outside the metros. Dehradun offers a mild climate, a long-standing student culture and living costs well below Delhi's, with the hills at the doorstep. The university's recruitment activity is heavily oriented toward IT services companies, and fees are private-sector but below premium-brand levels.
