Idhaya College of Arts and Science for Women

Idhaya College of Arts and Science for Women is a private women's college in Puducherry, established in 2004 and affiliated to Pondicherry University, whose degrees its students receive. It is a small undergraduate institution with an A grade from NAAC, teaching across arts, science and commerce — English literature and computer applications are among its offerings — in a women-only environment that many families in the region specifically look for. Puducherry is a compact, affordable coastal town, and the college draws largely day scholars from the union territory and neighbouring Tamil Nadu districts. It suits students who want a close-knit, structured women's college with university-recognised degrees at moderate fees; those seeking research infrastructure, wide postgraduate options or a large campus scene would be better served by the university's own departments.
