Sister Nivedita University

Sister Nivedita University, established in 2017 in Kolkata's New Town, is the private-university venture of the Techno India group, one of eastern India's largest education businesses — a lineage that shows in its professional, employment-facing slant. Its spread is unusually wide for a young institution, backed by UGC, AICTE, Bar Council and Pharmacy Council recognition: computer science engineering, business administration, nursing, hotel management and design are among the visible offerings, and NAAC has graded it A. New Town is Kolkata's modern satellite district, home to the city's IT corridor and new institutional campuses, which keeps internships and sector exposure close while remaining connected to the metropolis. Fees are private-sector, above state universities. It suits Bengal students who want a career-oriented private campus in Kolkata's newest district and value breadth of professional options over old-university prestige.
