Tirupati, Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh
Sri Venkateswara University was founded in 1954 in Tirupati, the great pilgrimage town of the Tirumala hills, with early support from the temple establishment, and it has grown into one of Andhra Pradesh's principal state universities. Its strength today is at the postgraduate level — the sciences, management, economics, pharmacy and law all run through established departments on a spacious campus — and it also affiliates colleges across the Rayalaseema region. The university holds an A+ grade from NAAC, and fees are low throughout. Tirupati is compact, well connected and considered safe by families across the Telugu states, with a growing education and institutional presence. It suits students seeking affordable postgraduate or professional study at an established public university, particularly those from southern Andhra Pradesh.
