Bhubaneswar, Bhubaneswar, Odisha
Xavier University Bhubaneswar, since renamed XIM University, is the Jesuit-run private university built around the legacy of the Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar (XIMB), one of eastern India's older business schools. Established in 2013 and approved by the UGC, it holds an A grade from NAAC. Management remains its centre of gravity: the MBA is the flagship, and its rural management programme has a distinct identity of its own, with newer schools in areas such as commerce, economics and sustainability built around them. The campus sits on the edge of Bhubaneswar, Odisha's capital, a city with a growing cluster of universities, modest living costs and improving connectivity. The Jesuit administration shows in a structured, discipline-oriented academic culture. It suits students set on management or allied careers who want an established east-India brand outside the metros.
